Otoskwin Lake is located on the Otoskwin River system approximately 22 miles northwest of Pickle Lake. A float plane ride of about 15 minutes will have your group in the middle of our lush boreal forest with some of the best Northern and Walleye fishing in Northwestern Ontario.

Otoskwin Lake is 4 miles long and is supplied by both the Williams River and the Otoskwin River coming in at the west end. You can travel upstream on the Otoskwin River for several miles where you will find a very short portage around a small rapids. There you will find another boat and motor which will enable you to explore another un-named lake that sits right in the middle between Littleford Lake and Otoskwin Lake. This lake is roughly 7 miles long.

Further adventure awaits you with a ½ hour portage to the bottom of the large rapids that exit the lake at the east end into Froats Lake. Once at the bottom, you will find the most amazing setting for some fishing and possibly a traditional shore lunch, if you remembered your kit! Put on your favorite hiking boots and enjoy an afternoon in the beautiful, untouched wilderness.

Otoskwin Lake has one of the original log cabins built almost 4 decades ago. This cabin will accommodate up to four people and is equipped with a propane fridge and stove, propane BBQ and fish cooker, hot and cold running water with a separate bath house with shower and propane lights; it also has a two way VHF radio for daily communication with base camp. This location has a wonderful, shallow, sandy beach ideal for children and swimming.

14’ Lund boats with 9.9hp motors and swivel seats with backrests are supplied for your comfort. This camp is a favourite among our smaller groups.
